November 9
Introduction
Psalm 128: Today’s reading describes the happiness and reward of those who obey God. It includes a blessing that priests bestowed on pilgrims attending a festival in Jerusalem. The psalm concludes with a blessing upon Jerusalem.
Today’s Key Verse: Psalm 128:1
Happy are those who obey the LORD, who live by his commands.
Reflect
What blessings are cited in this psalm? Reread verse 1. In what ways do you seek to obey the LORD and live by his commands? In what ways have you experienced God’s blessings?
Pray
Loving God, help me to obey you and live by your commands. I think and praise you for your many blessings. Guide my words and actions this day so that I give honor to you in all I do and say. Amen.
