Finding Your Purpose Through FaithSample
Welcome back! As we discussed on Day 1, it can often feel like we’re simply spinning our wheels. We know that God has incredible plans for us, but we can’t seem to move in the direction of our purpose for one reason or another.
That’s where Proverbs 16:3 comes in like a breath of fresh air. This verse invites us to hand over the reins to God, trusting that when we commit our plans to Him, He’ll take care of the rest. It doesn’t mean we sit back and do nothing, but it does mean we can find peace in knowing that God is ordering our steps.
Think about it this way: God, who created the universe, is personally interested in the plans of your life. He’s not only aware of them, but He’s also ready and willing to establish them—to make them firm and successful—when you bring them to Him. How amazing is that?
That makes the idea of starting that business, buying that apartment, or going after your dream job a bit easier, doesn’t it? Knowing that you’re not in it alone?
Let’s pause though: what does it mean to “commit” your plans to the Lord? It’s about more than just saying a quick prayer and moving on. It’s about genuinely surrendering your desires, goals, and dreams to God, asking for His guidance, and being open to His direction—even if it leads somewhere unexpected. Especially if it leads somewhere unexpected.
It’s trusting that His plans for you are good, even when they don’t match your own timeline or expectations.
Are you ready to do that?
Similar to Day 1, let us end the reflection today praying to our Holy Father.
Father God, I commit my plans and actions into Your hands, trusting that You will establish them according to Your perfect will. Give me the courage to step out in faith, knowing that You are with me in every endeavor. Help me to act with boldness and conviction, aligning my efforts with Your purpose. When fear or doubt creeps in, remind me that You are my strength and guide.
In Your most holy name, I pray.
Amen.
