14 Days of Prayer + Fasting: Ephesians 6Sample
DAY TEN ~ Spoken Word
Ephesians 6:17 “...and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
We are meditating on the Armor of God as symbols of understanding of the Lord Jesus. The Apostle Paul now introduces the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We have been armed with a weapon that is described in the Scriptures as "alive and powerful" (Hebrews 4:12).
As we take it up, no lie of the enemy can survive.
So, how do we take up the Sword of the Spirit? One way is to speak it. Faith is activated when we align our thoughts and our words with the Word of God. We were born again by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths. This is also the spiritual principle that empowers our faith life as we follow Jesus.
Here is what could happen if you take the Words of Jesus and speak them out: First, your heart resonates with Truth, so you become stronger and more courageous. Then, the enemy is pushed back because lies are demolished by Truth. The spiritual atmosphere in your life shifts towards your destiny because the Word of God is Powerful and it performs the Work for which it was sent.
Speak the Promises of God and walk bravely into your day.
Father, I thank You that Your Word is Powerful and is able to destroy any area of lack in my life. I speak life and liberty today. Let Your Kingdom come and Your Will be done in me and through me, in Jesus' Name.

About this Plan
Welcome to a season of prayer and fasting, and a 14-day Devotional to encourage you along the way. Let us each set aside some time and space to be ready to hear from Heaven. From this position, we can see new possibilities as we intentionally fix our eyes on Jesus, and discover just how powerful we are when we pray. This Devotion comes from Ephesians 6. Our prayer is that over the next few days, the Living Word will reshape our hearts and minds and we will see answers to prayer and encounters in the Word.
