Investing in Eternal TreasureSample
Day 1: Treasures in Heaven
Matthew 6:20-21 NIV “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Reflection:
In these verses, Jesus calls us to shift our focus from material wealth on earth to eternal treasures in heaven. Earthly possessions are temporary and subject to decay, loss, and theft. In contrast, the treasures we store up in heaven are secure and everlasting. Jesus isn’t discouraging financial success, but He is teaching us to invest our resources in things that have eternal significance—acts of generosity, love, and obedience to God’s will.
Application:
How are you using your resources—time, talent, and finances—to store up treasures in heaven? Consider what you value most and how they reflect your heart’s priorities. Today, pray for wisdom on giving generously and investing in eternal things, such as supporting those in need or contributing to God’s work.
Prayer:
"Lord, help me to see my finances and resources from an eternal perspective. Show me how to use what I have to store up treasures in heaven, and guide my heart to be generous and focused on Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen."

About this Plan
In these three days, we’ve explored how to invest in eternal treasure through generosity, trust in God’s provision, and working with a heart of service. True treasure lies not in what we accumulate on earth but in what we store up in heaven through acts of love, generosity, and obedience to God. As you continue this journey, let your financial decisions and daily actions reflect an eternal perspective, always seeking to honour God with all He has entrusted you.
