Pain to Promise

DAY 6 OF 10

The Promise of Strength

Pain tends to make one especially weak. Affliction or tragedy, when strong enough in certain areas, can even damage the brain. However, with faith and the brain's regenerative power, healing is possible. The brain can heal with the proper assistance through therapy and post-traumatic growth techniques.

Paul tells us in Scripture that God's strength manifests in our weak moments of pain. (2 Cor. 12:10). He goes so far as to say he takes pleasure in his infirmities. How can we possibly do this? We must understand and accept that everything we go through is for our betterment in the long run. The pain can and will strengthen us if we allow it to.

Jesus wants to use our pain for His glory. If we allow Him to get the glory, then not only is Christ magnified, and people are helped from our pain, but we can also come out on the other side of our pain better than before. We can get to the other side of that tremendous mountain with great strength, power from Christ, influence for the Kingdom, and a much better version of ourselves.

God stays with us in our pain, and we must not fear while suffering (Isa. 41:10). His presence is a constant source of comfort, strength, and calm. As a believer, remembering that He is made stronger in our fleshly weaknesses and knowing that He resides in us shows how much better we will be on the other side of our pain once God has been given the reigns of our circumstances!

Keep your hope up, and He will strengthen you! (Psa. 31:24).

What can you praise God for today that will bring you the comfort you need for this moment in time? Thank Him ahead of time for what He will do to strengthen you in your trial, and watch Him do incredible works!

PRAYER

Holy Spirit, I thank You for residing in me and doing great work, even in my pain. I praise You, God, for all the good that will come out of this season of my life that doesn't make sense in the now. You know what's best, and I am grateful for Your guiding hand.

In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
