The Impactful Family: Making a Difference Together

DAY 2 OF 5

As an Impactful Family, you have a burning desire to make a difference in the world. But sometimes, you might struggle with a challenging thought: "We're not good enough." Today, we'll explore this limiting belief and how to overcome it to create stronger, more confident family relationships.

Have you ever felt like your efforts might fall short? Like you're not capable of making the real difference you dream of? Even the most impactful families sometimes grapple with these thoughts. But remember, God has something powerful to say about that!

This belief that we're not good enough often stems from comparing ourselves to others or feeling overwhelmed by our big dreams. But let's look at what Scripture says about our worth and abilities:

Psalm 139:14 reminds us, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." This verse affirms that we are valuable creations of God, uniquely crafted for a purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 encourages us, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." This verse assures us that our desire to make an impact isn't an accident – it's part of God's plan for us.

Shifting our perspective, we can see that our worth isn't based on our achievements but on God's infinite love for us. When we feel weak, we can remember that God's strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Consider taking some practical steps:

• Celebrate small wins, noticing the little ways you're making a difference every day

• Focus on growth instead of perfection, aiming for progress in your impact

• Encourage each other, reminding one another of your strengths and positive impact

• Stay grounded in God's Word, regularly reminding yourselves of what God says about you

Questions for Reflection:

1. When was the last time your family felt "not good enough" to make an impact? How did you overcome that feeling?

2. What unique gifts and experiences has God given your family that equip you for your calling?

3. How can you support and encourage each other when doubts creep in?

4. In what ways can you measure your impact by faithfulness to God's calling rather than worldly standards?
