Learning to Say NoSample
Reassess and Communicate Your Withdrawal
Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. Luke 14:31-32 (ESV).
When a commitment becomes unmanageable, reassess and negotiate a way out. Like a king evaluating his capacity, carefully consider your limits and communicate with those affected by your decision to withdraw from your previous commitment.
How can you reassess your commitments and communicate with those affected by your decision to withdraw from your previous commitment?
Prayer: Father God, please grant me the wisdom to reassess my commitments and the courage to speak with those affected by my decision to withdraw. Help me navigate these conversations with grace and honesty, ensuring that my choices align with Your will. In Jesus name, Amen.
