Meet the Rest of the TeamSample
ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION
Over the past few days, we learned how God reveals Himself to us through nature. Everything was created to reveal His character to us. And the way we and our other team members fulfill that purpose is by acknowledging our Creator until we see him in full.
When David worked as a shepherd, He spent lots of time in nature and received incredible revelations from God. He came to understand God’s desire for us to know Him, and which response it would automatically awaken in us. “Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness” (Psalm 98:4-9, NLT).
So that is how God’s team works together. He creates what is necessary to reveal Himself to us, the people who are just below Himself, made in his image (Psalm 8). God’s people then have the authority to work with all these creations to spread the news about His name to the ends of the earth. And when the end game is over at Christ’s return, we will all just focus on one mission. To glorify the King who has been our team leader since the beginning of time.
How do you understand creation to fit together for God’s purposes? How does it change your perspective when you consider yourself part of God’s greater creation plan?
Let us find our places in God’s team on earth. And let us work together with everything else in nature to bring glory to Him until Christ returns to perfect his work. “And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: ‘Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever’” (Revelation 5:13, NLT).
About this Plan
Are you someone who feels closer to God when you spend time in nature? Has God ever revealed Himself to you through animals, plants, or other parts of creation? In this plan, we will explore how all creation forms part of one team to God’s glory.
