Get Up and Go

DAY 3 OF 3

The Response

God is purposeful and intentional. He did not make a mistake when He called you to go and share the gospel. Furthermore, God has given us everything we need to live out this calling, including the promise of His presence and His power within us wherever we go. Everything we need to do for our call, God has already prepared it. And when we are called, we are expected to answer. Our answer to God is to do what He has called us to do. In Isaiah 6:8, when the Lord asks who will go and spread His message to the people, the prophet Isaiah immediately offers himself to the Lord and asks that God would send him. In the same way, all of us should be eager to respond to God and offer ourselves when He calls.

There is a very real problem presented in the Bible. There are many people who do not know the life-changing message of Jesus who desperately need to hear it. Now, it’s our God-given responsibility to pick up the call and respond to God by giving Him our yes and allowing Him to work through us.

The best way to live a life worthy of our calling is by walking in obedience to Him. Simply put, we need to be doers of the Word, who put what the Scriptures say into practice and continually submit ourselves before God. Where has God called you? What people has He placed on your heart to reach? Whether it’s the neighbor next door or someone across the globe, wherever God has called you, get up and go. The harvest is plentiful today and God is calling you now. Say to the Lord, “Here I am, send me.”

Day 2

About this Plan

Get Up and Go

When someone calls you, you should respond and answer. In the same way, when God calls us, we need to respond to Him. While all believers in Christ Jesus have unique callings, we also share a calling to go and share the gospel of Christ with all people. The call of God over our lives requires movement on our part. This 3-day devotional explores the need, the call, and the response of all Christians.
