Have you ever felt like you’re not enough? That you’re not ready for the task at hand? That you aren’t prepared or equipped? That you’re flat-out the wrong person for the job? If we’re honest, we’d all admit we’ve been there. It’s true for us today and for the men and women whose real stories are recorded in Scripture for us to read.

Take Moses, for example. He accomplished amazing things for God, but he wasn’t confident in his ability to do all that himself. His confidence to take on any task before him wasn’t something he could find on his own; it could only come from God. The same is true for us, too! When we don’t feel confident, only in God can we be! Our confidence is not meant to be found in who we are or what we do or don’t bring to the table but in who God is and who God made us to be.

Spend time reading Exodus 3:11-14. The same God that helped Moses is the same God to help us. Today, write down this reminder of God’s promise to Moses and us and keep it somewhere you’ll see it often: “I will be with you.”
