When you wake up in the morning, what is the first worry that comes to your mind? It might be simple, like if your sibling ate the last bowl of cereal, if you’re going to make the bus on time, or if you have plans after school. Or it might be something more serious, like if your parent is going to come home, if you’ll be able to pay for college, or if your family member will get bad results from the doctor. Uncertainty can show up in a lot of different ways in our lives. In reality, every day is filled with all kinds of unknown and uncertain things. So, how do we deal with uncertainty? How do we move through life with certainty when everything around us always feels uncertain?

As followers of Jesus, we find our answer in God. When we remember how God sees and cares for every part of creation—from the birds in the sky to the flowers on the ground—we can find comfort in knowing that God cares for us in the same way.

So today, take a moment to ask God for peace as you walk through moments of uncertainty.
