Experience the Gospel of MarkSample

Who am I?
As you can imagine, Jesus is extremely popular during His time on Earth. As He heals the sick, walks on water, and raises people from the dead, people start to notice Him. Furthermore, the message He preaches is different from the words of the religious leaders—and this difference is refreshing to hear.
His teachings and ministry make Jesus highly controversial. People have a difficult time drawing conclusions about His identity—who is Jesus? Is He a prophet like the prophets of the Old Testament (Mark 8:28)? Is He just a controversial Rabbi? Some think He is even crazy! Aware of this confusion around town, Jesus asks His disciples who they think He is. In other words, Jesus is asking His disciples to draw a conclusion for themselves. Although we have seen the disciples stumble in the past, Peter has incredible faith and answers profoundly in this moment. He states that Jesus is the Messiah (Mark 8:29).
2,000 years later, people still have all sorts of opinions about Jesus, but the question still remains for you personally: Who do you say Jesus is? This question is the most important question you could ever answer.
Bottom Line: You must answer this question for yourself: “Who do you say I am?”

About this Plan

In this six-day plan by Bible study author Andy Klenke, you will be introduced to the Jesus of the Gospels and be invited to follow Him. Beyond a great teacher or miracle worker, Jesus shows himself to be God and worthy of worship. While simply understanding these truths is certainly helpful, each day will help you learn more about Jesus and prompt you to think about how these truths can transform your life.
