God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Sample

1 Corinthians – Day 5
Love is one of the most overused words in our society. We claim to “love” everything and everyone. Yes, we love Jesus, our families, and our dear friends, but we also “love” our favorite TV shows, foods, and hobbies. Love is more than liking or enjoying something. It’s more than a warm, fuzzy feeling or the cheesy sentiments we find in a Hallmark card.
The Bible tells us that God is love. It was out of His love that He created humankind, and it’s His love that offers us salvation through Jesus’s death and resurrection.
When acting in love, we’ll stand in unity with other believers. We won’t cause division or fight for our rights. We’ll embrace a self-sacrificing love that goes beyond feelings. This is the kind of love Jesus is calling us to when He tells us to love God and love others.
