Let's Talk About Sex

DAY 3 OF 5

Day Three – The World and Sex

Fornication and sexual immorality are synonymous. There is no escaping God’s displeasure of either. Much of modern culture appears to minimize our instructions for godly living. The world of entertainment bombards us with immoral behavior on a daily basis.

“… The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body” (1 Cor 6:13).

Despite how the entertainment industry leads us to sin: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16).

Despite how much our friends and family enable us to sin: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

And regardless of how Satan attempts to deceive us to sin: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8).

God was intentional with creation, just as Jesus was deliberate in pointing the Pharisees right back to God’s creation the way God made it in the beginning (see Matthew 19:4-6).

It is a great comfort to know that if we abide in His Word, we are truly His disciples, and we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (see John 8:31-32).

Please find a quiet place to pray: Heavenly Father, You said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." Help me to honor you with my body. Help me to live a life according to Your Will, and not mine. I know that I cannot be righteous living in sin. Create in me a clean heart to serve and honor you all the days of my life. I am ready, willing, and able. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.

About this Plan

Let's Talk About Sex

Let's Talk About Sex is a five-day Bible plan that explores sexual immorality and the importance of honoring God with our bodies. Scripture is used to illuminate what the Creator thinks about sexual intercourse before marriage. Bree challenges single men and women to embrace celibacy with a promise ring as a symbol of their pledge to God.
