For many months, I doubted God's interest in bringing beauty from the ashes in my life.

Limping my way through the aftermath of a broken marriage, I decided God was done with helping me pick up pieces.

And, within that, I doubted this new life—the new normal on the other side of the unthinkable—would ever compare to the former life I loved.

But I've learned that anything He puts His hands on—anything He rebuilds—is extraordinarily more beautiful, whole, and complete than anything before the breaking.

I've been broken, and I'm guessing you have been, too.

But God doesn't leave us undone. He doesn't leave us in a state of disarray.

And when we hold up to Him the jagged bits and pieces of our broken life, He pulls together a beautiful mosaic far outshining history.

And on the other side of it all, when He's rearranged the gnarly bits and put His finishing touches on things, we will stand in the knowing that broken in His hands is the best place to be.
