100 Days of HopeSample
Strength For The Weak
The Israelites were God’s people, who bore the name of Israel and Jacob. Yet they complained, saying God had forgotten about them and their cause. In their unbelief, even when they were not trusting, God reminded them of who He was.
There are days when we feel weak and far from God. Sometimes we feel tired in our circumstances, without even the strength to get through the day. Do you ever feel like just giving up or sleeping the day away? In these times, God is there. He has not forgotten our cause; we simply need to recognize His strength. Our own strength will never be enough, especially on the days we’re feeling tired or weak, but God’s strength will always be enough.
He is the Creator. He created the entire world with no help, and He didn’t rest until it was finished. How powerful is He! We might not be able to understand the extent of his mighty power, but when we remember who He is—the everlasting God—He gives us strength when we are tired and power when we feel weak. Today, trust that He will get you through the day and remember that it’s His power, not your own.
Prayer: Father, thank you that we do not have to rely on our own strength as we go about our day today. You give us strength, and you call us to rest in you.
