SEXUALITY - the BIBLE DARES to TALK ABOUT IT!Sample
1 Corinthians 7:3-4 (NLT): The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.
Genesis 2:24 (NIV): That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Proverbs 5:18-19 (NIV): May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer—may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love.
Song of Songs 8:6 (NLT): Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as enduring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame.
Song of Songs 5:1 (NIV): I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk. Eat, friends, and drink; drink your fill of love.
Malachi 2:14-16 (NLT): You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows. Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit, you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. “For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”
Couple’s Sexuality - Two Responsible Adults - Part 1
Reactions are sometimes hostile when this subject is broached in the context of the Christian life. What a shame! The Bible talks about sexuality quite naturally, without taboos, and as a gift from God.
Christians are not children. If the Church has hurt you because of its interference, abuse, and so on, we ask for your forgiveness in His name. Forgiving those who have offended you is the path to healing and restoration for your soul.
Our approach is very different: We address adults who, with the help of the Holy Spirit within them, are perfectly capable of making informed choices about the ultra-private area of sexuality.
The biblical framework is straightforward to define:
Sexuality takes place between two people of different sexes, married to each other.
The seal on the heart and the seal on the arm give us the image of this alliance, this security with each other. God created things well when He foresaw sexuality. He prepared for it to be built into us before we were married. God planned the dating period, the engagement period, the period when we build friendship, and when we get to know each other to set up key points for sexuality.
A man and a woman choose to unite with each other within the secure framework of the covenant. They become one physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Sexuality is the means God has given us to make this union a reality. They are united to each other physically, spiritually, and emotionally. So, for this union to happen only between the two of them, they must keep their eyes and thoughts focused exclusively on each other. The exclusivity of this union must take place without external stimulation, either at eye level or at the level of fantasies.
About this Plan
Sexuality is beautiful when it is lived according to God's standards. How can you talk about sexuality so naturally? Simply because God created sexuality! He created man and woman as sexual beings, and He said it was good! We want to present God's standards, normalize, and look at this gift God has given us through His own eyes.
