Glory: Giving God What He Deserves

DAY 5 OF 6

God’s glory is eternal. His Kingdom has always been and will last forever.

God has always existed. Before there was anything else, there was God. Nothing exists that He did not create, and long after the heavens and earth God created pass away, His Kingdom will stand.

We become citizens of that Kingdom when we put our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation from the consequences of our sin by surrendering control of our lives to Him, and God adopts us into His family. As God’s children and citizens of His Kingdom, we are coheirs with Jesus Christ Himself. God’s Kingdom is our inheritance, and we will reign with Him forever (1 Peter 1:3).

If you are a citizen of God’s Kingdom, this world is not your home. This being true, it’s natural to get a little restless when bad things happen to or around you. Your heart knows that’s not how things should or will someday be, but don’t give in to despair. Remember, God is in control. Nothing happens without His permission according to His wisdom, and this life is just a breath compared to the eternity you will spend together with Him.

Day 4Day 6

About this Plan

Glory: Giving God What He Deserves

God’s glory is His divine perfection on display or the worship He deserves in response. Because it's the motivation behind everything God does, it should be the motivation behind everything we do. In this study, we’ll look at Who God is and what He’s done, then consider what He deserves from us in response. Once you know what life’s really about, you can make sure yours counts toward something eternal!
