Beyond Imagination - a Taste of HeavenSample
Good News to Tell
The Bible gives us a view of the life those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior will someday enjoy in perfect fellowship with God for all eternity. We can’t fully grasp all that God has prepared for us, but we know Heaven is real, and Heaven is where God’s sons and daughters will enjoy an intimate and satisfying relationship with Him. We are interested in Heaven because that is where our Heavenly Father is, where our Savior is, where loved ones who died in Christ are, and where our inheritance awaits us.
Unfortunately, many people go through life with no clear understanding of what will happen when they die. They fill their lives with stuff, and activity, and noise, and never pause to contemplate eternity. But because Heaven is real, we know that Hell is also real. Hell is the destiny for all those who have rejected God’s invitation to know His Son Jesus. They have declared, through a deliberate choice to go their own way, or a failure to accept God’s gracious invitation, that they want to run their own lives.
Just as believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, unbelievers will experience the Great White Throne Judgment where those who have rejected God’s grace will be judged. In life they said “No” to Christ, and they will be judged and condemned because of their rejection. God does not send anyone to Hell; rather, they send themselves.
Our task, our responsibility, and our privilege is to share the Good News of the Gospel everywhere we go. We have received God’s greatest Gift – the gift of His Son. What a thrill it is to know that as we tell others about Jesus, we are sharing with them the life-changing message of God’s love for them. When they respond to this message, and receive Christ, they can be assured that they have become citizens of Heaven. They can be confident that they, too, will spend eternity in the holy city called Heaven. Pray that God will keep us faithful to His Great Commission to go, to share, and to make disciples. May all those who hear the Good News of what God has done for us through Jesus Christ open their hearts and let Him in.
Reflection questions:
- Life is fragile and temporary. Is there someone you need to share the Gospel with today or in the near future?
- How might telling someone about the reality of Heaven help them make the most importance decision of their life?

About this Plan
What we believe about Heaven matters as it informs the way we live each day. Much of what we think we know about Heaven, however, is based on misinformation, Hollywood movies, or something other than biblical truth. What the Bible actually teaches provides a taste of Heaven and assures us that Heaven is not only real – it is beyond anything we can picture or imagine.
