The Seven Gates of GraceSample
The Red Door
Many people tend to look at things for their external beauty without considering their true substance. Many of us would probably be amazed at the beauty and grandeur of the gates that the Egyptians had erected in their case, but few of us would wonder who lived behind those beautiful gates.
One night, it was God's turn to pass through the streets of Egypt, and we know for sure that he did not stop to evaluate the apartments by their doors, and only a few houses held his attention: those of the Jews. Certainly not because they were more beautiful, but far from it.
They were houses with doors without beauty, inhabited by slaves, but their splendor resided in the blood of an innocent lamb.
God didn't even stop to look at the people who were inside those houses; He only participated in the blood of that innocent lamb shed on those miserable wooden doors.
Thus it was those inside those poor houses who were spared from pain and death.
That blood still has great meaning for us. It's no longer just the blood of an innocent animal; rather, the blood is a precursor to an even more powerful sacrifice: the blood of Jesus, shed for the salvation of many.
Our red door is the cross of Christ. This “door” is so powerful that it has taken all our sins and washed them with the blood of the Lamb.
If you have not already done so, you must enter through this red door to live your life in Christ. It is the most important door you will ever walk through.
