UNCOMMEN Change: Being A Man For All SeasonsSample
Day 2: Everything Beautiful For Its Time
If you live long enough, you see that life is up and down. It’s a series of contrasting seasons. When we are following God, then both these seasons have meaning, purpose, and value in your life as a Christian. However, without God, the difficulties in our lives can lead us to hopelessness and despair. In Ecclesiastes 3:11a it says “God has made everything beautiful for its time.” But let’s dig into this here. Not everything we experience in life is beautiful. But it does say God has made everything beautiful for its own time.
When you lose a loved one unexpectedly, it’s not beautiful. When your marriage fails, it's not beautiful. When we are painfully lonely, it’s not beautiful. When we are faced with terminal illness, it’s not beautiful. When we lose our home to a flood or fire, it’s not beautiful.
Many of you may be going through a season that is not beautiful. In fact, maybe it’s quite the opposite of beautiful. Yet, remember that God can take these things that are so painful and use the broken pieces for His glory. Everything that God has made is, in fact, beautiful when accomplished in His own time, in His way, as outlined in His Word. We may not understand many things in our time, but we can trust in His time. Trust that God is working through you and that every painful moment and sad event will become beautiful, for God is in it.
Uncommen Question: What is a challenging situation in your life right now that you need God to make beautiful? Ask Him to help you trust Him in it.

About this Plan
Seasons change; it’s a certainty of life. In Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, Solomon offers a much different perspective on what it means to be a man in all seasons. In this study, you will learn from Solomon that life with all its various seasons, gives us opportunities to draw closer to God. We will discover that God has perfect timing, He makes all things beautiful in time.
