A Wave Of Compassionate Caring

DAY 5 OF 5

Multiplying Movements of Compassionate Caring

Addition and multiplication are basic math concepts familiar to most of us. But how do they relate to building a movement of compassionate caring? Addition looks like this: You invite people to join you in caring for others. As you lead, others follow and add increased capacity for making a difference. But multiplication looks different. You intentionally mentor others to build their own movements of compassionate caring. You are developing new leaders who will then develop new leaders as well. Bill Muir has seen the power of multiplication throughout a lifetime of mentoring others.

Listen to Bill

Although mentoring others takes time and effort, the impact of multiplication is incredibly far reaching. Your first task is to find faithful people who share your heart and passion for caring for others. Spend time one-on-one with them. Give them significant opportunities to lead within the movement of caring that you started. Provide encouragement as they pursue whatever God has called them to do - even if their vision differs from your own. These leaders will multiply more leaders, who in turn will develop even more leaders and so on. The ultimate result will be a wave of compassionate caring for God’s glory that will grow bigger and bigger.

About this Plan

A Wave Of Compassionate Caring

Waves of compassionate care are both beautiful and powerful . When we show active love through movements of caring, the light of Jesus shines for many people. Each of these devotionals contain a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests share ideas that you can use to develop a movement of caring and compassion . These ideas include being available, praying, empowering people and mentoring others.
