Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Are you acknowledging that God alone is the great provider of needs?
Joseph credits the Lord for His amazing provision. After he reveals himself to his brothers, he says, “So now it was not you who sent me here, but God” (Genesis 45:8). God’s miraculous provision governed by Joseph would provide the needs of two nations: Egypt and Israel. Jesus, who is God, wants His disciples to learn the valuable lesson that Joseph grasped. “You give them something to eat” (Matthew 14:16), commands Jesus to His disciples after thousands gathered to hear Him teach. The wise Lord gives this directive to show His followers their inability to provide for the crowd and also to teach them that He uniquely has the capacity to care for the masses.
Employment Point: Trust in God alone to provide for all your needs and acknowledge Him when He does.
