Reflections on TruthSample

The noise,
The loud clattering noise,
Can you hear it?
The many voices, the opinions, the tales, the big lies, the little lies
Can you hear them?
the my truths?
and your truths
What can you hear?
Through the crashing and banging,
The white noise, the black noise?
Listen…
Can you hear?
That quiet noise
That precious whisper
Lean in,
Move closer
Now can you hear?
There it is……
It’s the loud whisper that’s always there
When you turn around
Your stance, your steps, your face, your eyes, and Your ears!
AND……. there it is!
It’s never changed
The voice of Truth, in every page,
His whisper floats in,
Through your ears, your heart
and settles there for you to hear.
It’s His word of Truth!
Unchanged through so, so many years, still strong it remains, so solid and set!

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for your quiet whisper amongst all the noise, distractions, and opinions. Help us to lean into your word and mine the truth from what you are saying.

Thank you that you walk with us and are there for us in this ever-changing world. Give us courage to speak your words of truth when we are with others.
