Title: God made our earth beautiful

GENESIS: 1:1-2 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

Have you ever created something from nothing? For example, building a project for school? Or maybe you’ve built something with Legos, or have you created a beautiful painting or an epic drawing? How about some cool craft projects or gifts you have made yourself from scratch? Did you feel proud when you completed it? It’s a great feeling, isn’t it?

Well, in the verse we just read in Genesis, it says that God also created something amazing–he created the heavens and the earth–which is the whole universe. Because in the very beginning of time, the whole earth had no shape, it was like soft sticky playdough, like a blob of goo or like slime! it was also empty, nothing was around it–that means there were no animals, no people, no houses, no fun places to visit, no cars, no toys, and no land to walk on. NOTHING at all! It also says that it was very dark. It sounds pretty scary to me. Does it sound like a fun place to be in? I agree it doesn’t. So, God, with his great power, created Earth so that you and your family and friends could live in. Do you know what the best thing is? God also created the heavens, and that is the best place on earth! We can look forward to living in heaven forever!
