Trusting God Through the PainSample
The God who is faithful is always with you.
Have you ever questioned the faithfulness of God? Have you ever wondered if He hears your prayers and if He will answer according to your heart’s desire?
Sometimes we don’t even know what we are waiting for, but God is faithful and will always reveal Himself in His perfect timing. God will even take the broken measures of your life and turn them into something utterly and completely beautiful.
The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted…to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…” – Isaiah 61:1,3
In moments of silent prayer or quiet contemplation, I often think back to the times in my life when there was an enormous pain followed by a season of waiting. The wait is what prepared me for God’s great plan for my life—for my miracle—but waiting is hard. When your heart is hurting, it can often feel like the wait will never end.
My sorrow is beyond healing; my heart is faint within me. – Jeremiah 8:18
If God is asking you to wait for something, I challenge you to take some time and reflect on how the wait can prepare you for what God wants to do in your life. God is always up to something. He never wastes a moment.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6
