Discover Your True StrengthSample
You Are Valuable
I believe understanding our God-given value and worth is fundamental to embracing our identity and purpose. Just as we study the Bible to uncover truths about who we are, we can also recognize our intrinsic value as unique and precious beings created by God.
Consider the value assigned to everyday objects in the hands of renowned athletes. A football, a $17.00 item, becomes worth millions when handled by a skilled quarterback like Tom Brady. Similarly, golf balls, baseballs, and tennis rackets gain astronomical value when used by professional athletes at the peak of their careers.
It is the same with other types of objects. Think about a railroad spike, which can be purchased for about $3.75. Its monetary value is low, but similar spikes were nailed into the hands of Jesus on the cross and became priceless. The most profound demonstration of worth comes from the sacrifice Jesus paid on the cross, symbolized by simple spikes, and far exceeds any earthly valuation. Jesus's crucifixion purchased not only our salvation but also our identity, value, and strength.
When Satan tries to diminish our worth or undermine our sense of value, we must remember the immeasurable price Jesus paid for us. John 3:16 reminds us that God's love for humanity was so great that He gave His only Son to save us. Romans 5:8 reaffirm this truth, declaring that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
The Bible reveals that in the eyes of God, there is no greater value than a human being. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ ensures each of us that we are priceless and deeply cherished by our Creator.
Strength Builder of the Day
Take a moment to reflect on the immeasurable love of God demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. My prayer is that rather than viewing your value and worth according to external factors or earthly standards, you start seeing yourself according to the unconditional love of your heavenly Father.
