DAY 48 OF 55

VERSE OF THE DAY:

Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

- Mark 14:72

REFLECTION:

  • WORD - Jesus’ word declared what would happen.
  • WARNING - Peter ignored the warning (first rooster).
  • WITNESS - The second rooster indicted him.
  • WEEPING - Peter responded with shame and sorrow.
  • WAY BACK - Jesus Himself forgave and restored Peter (John 21:15-19).

JOURNAL POINTS:

  • What is something you have been ashamed of?
  • How long have you been carrying the shame?
