Why Won't God Just Tell Me What to Do ?

DAY 3 OF 4

Day III: I am with you.

God continued to speak to me, saying, "You're hesitating because you're afraid. Afraid of the journey, of suffering, of what lies ahead." It hit me then: I'd been trying to make the perfect decision to shield myself from pain. But I finally grasped what that scene was trying to tell me. It's not about having all the answers or knowing every step of the journey beforehand. It's not about making the "perfect" decision, as long as it's not a sinful decision. No, it's about making a choice and having faith that God is right there with us, no matter what.

Fear can paralyze you from making a decision and sometimes even prevent you from doing God's Will. You have to trust Him—trust Him with your life, trust Him with your peace, trust Him with His plans.

He won't lay out every step for you like a detailed roadmap. He won't pull your strings and dictate your every move, treating you like a puppet. But here's what He will do: He'll give you wisdom when you seek it. He'll offer guidance when you're lost. He'll empower you with the courage to make choices and be there to comfort you through every twist and turn of the journey.

Reflection: What's causing you to feel anxious in your current situation? What's the worst-case scenario you're imagining if you don't nail the perfect decision?

Take those fears straight to God and lay them at His Feet. He's constantly reminding us in His Word not to be afraid. Why? Because He's right there with us every step of the way.
