God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Sample

Isaiah Week 2 – Day 5
Do you ever feel like life is too big? Is the world around you too crazy? Isaiah knows how you feel. He spent decades telling the people of Israel they needed to turn away from their sin and follow God. He saw kings come and go. He watched his land get conquered. But Isaiah held onto a remarkable hope.
The second half of chapter 40 talks specifically about how big his God was. Even when Israel’s enemies overpowered them, Isaiah knew his God was bigger than any enemy. And God is bigger than anything you might face as well. Financial crisis? God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Wounds from broken relationships? Jesus knows all about scars. Sins so ugly you can’t look yourself in the mirror? The blood of Jesus washed them all away.
