Spilled Milk

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” JOHN 16:33

As a mom of three myself, I know that some days feel more chaotic than others. It usually happens all at once... when you hit snooze too many times, the milk gets spilled, and now you’re late getting the kids to school. But, Mama, you were made for this. God has put you here, with these little or big ones, to be their leader, their guide, their source of mama love and strength. You were meant to bring them up in this world as their mom. They learn from you, from how you react and what you do. We may often let our stresses and frustrations out in negative ways, but take heart. You are not alone in this. When the days get long, frustrating, and hard, take it to the Lord instead of shouting it out. Talk to your Father and allow Him to guide you to manage frustrating times and be the best mom you can be. There’s no use crying over spilled milk—that can be cleaned up!—but how we act in the moment will create a lasting impression. Mistakes happen. Even chaotic times happen in public, but we must put aside our concern over what others may be thinking and be aware of our own children’s feelings. Some days we need God’s strength to get through. The good news is, that He’s always there for us. He knows your child—and He knows you too. He’s your Father, and He wants what’s best for you!

We’ve all been there, and we all need Jesus! When we are weak, He is strong for us. Take whatever is on your heart and bring it to Him. Pray for guidance, wisdom, and strength. And when things get chaotic—and they will!—take a step back, breathe, and take it to the Lord.
