Holy Ambition

If we look back at the history it takes one person to lead millions in an untold evil or one person to lead millions in the way of righteousness. Around the mid 400 B.C there was a man who worked for a king in the secular field. When he heard about the destruction of Jerusalem, how it lies in its ruins and its gates burned, he broke down, wept, fasted and prayed. That information about Jerusalem birthed a vision in his heart. When others were lamenting about the destruction of Jerusalem, Nehemiah poured out his heart to God, felt burdened for his beloved people and the city. He prioritised the mission by prayer. He pondered in proximity and went close to the needs. Today, as young people get close to God in prayer through their deliberate pursuit and attentiveness, they can make a difference in the city. Desolate places will be restored, ruined streets will be repaired, bringing freedom, spreading the truth and shedding God’s light that no one can measure. 

Young people in Churches will be caught up with a Holy Ambition that will channel God’s resources. Ordinary folks will become extra-ordinary leaders of accomplishing God’s agenda in the smart cities of the world. They will demolish every word of discouragement, every arrow of ridicule, every army of opposition because their only goal will be to build the walls of the ruined city and proclaim Jesus as the God of the city. When you are baptised in a vision, nothing deters you from achieving it because the Holy Spirit is the propelling factor who empowers you to move on target. Though we are outnumbered by those who disagree with our strategy of building the city we must be audacious because with God by our side we are still the majority. One obedient man with God is equal to an army.
