Day 4: 1 Sam. 8-9 x Beau Maddox, Levite at UPPERROOM

Just when we think our seasons are mundane or that the assignment we have been given is aimless, remember that we are one WORD from God away from being anointed for our God-given authority.

I know I have been in times where I have felt like I was just out roaming around looking for "lost donkeys," and in a moment, the Lord spoke, and the authority of His word carried me out of aimlessness and into assignment. Our God is in the business of backing His word up, and He loves to do it through tangible encounters. It is so powerful to me that Samuel prophesies Saul's encounter that will cause him to be changed into a different person. I love that this encounter happened alongside prophetic musicians.

1 Samuel 10:5-6 says, “As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels, pipes, and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying. The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be changed into a different person."

He speaks. He Leads. He confirms. He encounters. He transforms.

I pray that as you read these chapters, your heart will be encouraged, and if you find yourself in a season that feels mundane, I want to prophesy that clarity of assignment and anointing is coming your way!
