DAY 254 OF 365

Your Kingdom Come

… your kingdom come.

“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit.”

“The time has come,” (John the Baptist) said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

(Jesus) told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. … I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. … No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. … I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. … It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Jesus … sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
