Parenting With Hope: 9 Days of Gospel-Centered EncouragementSample
Day 3 – Our Home Away from Home: The Church
I know finding a good church community and making church a priority with your teens isn’t always easy. While regular church attendance may feel uncomfortable at first, eventually, it will feel like a normal (and welcome!) part of your family life. Even if you’ve struggled to be involved in the past or had negative experiences, I encourage you to try again.
Over the years, I’ve formed so many dear friendships through fellowship at church. These friends have welcomed me into their homes, loved on my kids, brought me meals when I was sick, and shared life with me. I’ve done the same for them. We’ve studied the Bible together, prayed together, cried together, and celebrated together. Life is better in the church. We bless our teens with a special community when we make church a regular routine of our family life.
About this Plan
As parents, it’s not just our teens who are going through transitions. We’re going through them as well. While all these changes can be unexpected and overwhelming, we are never without hope. In this 9-Day plan, experienced teacher and mother Melissa Kruger offers you uplifting, biblical encouragement to root yourself firmly in Christ and abide in him for the strength you need in your parenting journey.
