P - Prepare
What do you do to prepare your heart for prayer? Luke 5:16 tells us that Jesus would withdraw from the crowds and get by himself to pray. Psalm 46:10 tells us to “be still” before God. Taking time to prepare to pray is really important. While we cannot always have a silent place free from distraction, we can take a deep breath, focus our attention, and enter into a time of connection with our Heavenly Father. Psalm 37 tells us that God delights in every detail of our lives!
As you watch the Lightglider prayer videos over the next few days, pay attention to how the leaders introduce the time of prayer. Take a deep breath and prepare your heart to connect with the one who loves you more than you can possibly imagine.
Here are some things to do and think about today:
- Read Luke 5:16, Psalm 46:10, and Psalm 37:23-24
- Watch the prayer video, The Lord Directs My Steps.
- How do you know that God delights in you?
- How can you “be still” before God?
- How do you prepare yourself for prayer?
