Dream Devo - SEU Conference

DAY 5 OF 5

All through the Bible, we see how God speaks to people and invites people to dream with Him. The same God that spoke to Abram, Peter, and Paul is the same God who speaks to us today. God is still actively speaking to His people and sharing His dream with them. God’s voice is timeless and does not grow old. The voice of the Lord is still active and we should always be seeking out his voice.

On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Lord fulfilled the prophecy from the book of Joel poured out His Spirit on all people, and empowered His church to prophesy, have visions, and have dreams. The Spirit of God is still alive among the people of God and speaking the dreams of God to them. As sons and daughters of God, we should always be listening to the voice of the Spirit in our lives and waiting on Him. God’s dream was not just for the past, but also for the present day.

Pursuing the dreams and visions of God is a privilege that we have in Christ Jesus. Always be listening for the voice of the Lord in your life, whether that be through dreams, visions, words, prompts, or however the Spirit moves in your life. God wants to use you in His plans, the only question is, are you willing to dream with Him and trust His purposes through your obedience? Every day we must decide to seek after God and open our hearts to hear Him speak.

Self Reflection:

  1. What does it look like to seek after God’s voice and dreams?
  2. How can I start inviting the Lord to speak into my life?

About this Plan

Dream Devo - SEU Conference

God has always had a dream. Whether you call it a vision, a plan, or a purpose, God’s always been dreaming. God’s desire is that all of creation would experience and know the love of Christ. He has been relentless in His pursuit that we would experience life to the full.
