Encountering JesusSample
DISCOVER
The night that Jesus was betrayed, He had a farewell dinner and a time of prayer that His disciples witnessed. John’s account lets us know what Jesus prayed that evening. It was a difficult night for Jesus, maybe the most difficult night he had while he was on earth, but even then, He was concerned for others more than Himself. His main concern as He prayed was for the Father to be glorified and for the welfare of His disciples. What a great love!
LEARN
In this section, Jesus prayed, saying that he shared His glory with them; He showed the disciples His love, justice, and holiness. He showed them what God really is like, and His purpose in showing us His glory is to show us that we should work together as one body in perfect unity. When the body is perfectly united, it will testify to a dying and divided world that God has sent His Son Jesus and that the Father LOVES those who follow Jesus as much as He loves the Son.
APPLY
How are you doing in loving others who have been saved by Jesus? Are you united with them with the purpose of glorifying God? How can we glorify Him as a Life Group? How can we glorify Him with our service in church? Are you united in the mission of sharing the gospel with others? Have you ever taken time to meditate on the fact that the Father truly loves you as much as He loves Jesus? What does this truth mean to you? Take some time today to reflect in prayer and apply these questions to your life.

About this Plan
Join us as we walk through seven encounters with Jesus. Just as Jesus transformed these individuals, the narratives of your shame, fear, guilt, and failure find redemption when met by the grace bought by His death on the cross. Your response to encountering Jesus has the power to transform the darkness of your story into a picture of grace, and redemption. How will you respond when you encounter Jesus?
