Good EnoughSample

God made everyone in this world.
You. Your neighbor.
Your friends.
That annoying colleague.
The cashier.
The bum at the supermarket.
The whole world.
As I list this, a few examples may come to mind. Of people about whom you feel something, about whom you have an opinion. A judgment.
But with what do you judge? What is your benchmark?
Instead of judging (Romans 2:1), you can love. You are even commanded to love others as yourself (Galatians 5:14) and not to feel better than others (Philippians 2:3).
That's quite a challenge when you've been betrayed and hurt by people like me—friends who figuratively stuck a knife in my back. But I'm no better. Fortunately, I am justified by Jesus. We all are.
We can act accordingly as disciples of Jesus. Together, we form a body of Christ with which we can serve others (1 Corinthians 12: 12-13). From God's love, which applies to all, we can nourish and build each other up and extend a helping hand to the world. We can work to give (Ephesians 4:28), to do good and thus be a blessing, both to the believers among us and to all others (Galatians 6:10).
Share the wonderful truth that you and everyone else are good enough in God's eyes. Do this in both word and deed.
How can you prove to someone today that they are good enough?
How can you turn off your automatic judgment from now on?
Blessings,
Johan
