Understanding Spiritual AuthoritySample
Satan Can No Longer Accuse Before God
Thus, when Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected, something significant happened. The Bible says the enemy was 'disarmed,' and God 'made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross' (Colossians 2:15).
We find in Revelation 12:10-12, a passage that speaks of this moment: "Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: 'Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Messiah.'"
When did this happen? When Jesus died and was resurrected on the cross!
"Now have come the salvation and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Messiah (referring to Jesus), for the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down." Revelation 12:10
Who then was thrown out? It is 'the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accused them before our God day and night.' We see this in Job, chapter 1, and in Zechariah, chapter 3, where Satan accuses Job and Joshua.
Moreover, he even made a mistake. Satan said of Job: "Just touch him and see if he will curse you!" But Job never cursed God.
Even there, Satan thought he knew, but he didn't…
We finally understand that it's over! Satan can no longer be the accuser of the brethren and judge: "they triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death." Revelation 12:11
"Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury because he knows that his time is short." Revelation 12:12
Why does it say, "Rejoice, you heavens"? Because Satan can no longer present himself before the Heavenly Court, having no authority on Earth. He has been disarmed and can no longer do so. The accuser of the brethren, Satan, who used to present himself before God day and night to accuse us, can no longer do so. He is now on Earth, knowing his time is short, and will act. He no longer has authority, but he still has cunning.
If the devil no longer has authority, who then manifests it on Earth now? I will talk about this in the continuation of this plan.
Pray with me:
Lord Jesus, thank you for the authority you have delegated to us! Oh, how, by the power of Your sacrifice, Your blood, Your name, Your word, I want to manifest this authority and see You glorified. Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, Amen!
