Break Free From Overeating: Your Plan for a Healthy Relationship With Food

Gaining control of your excessive eating starts by knowing the thoughts and emotions that are causing you to turn to food. Dig deep to see what it is that you really long for and then take it to God. You need to take your unhealthy thoughts captive and replace them with God’s truth. Renew your mind by reading the Bible and focusing on scripture that talks about your identity in Christ, and believe who God says you are. You are His child, you are valuable, you are an overcomer, and you are forgiven - this is just the beginning! Learn also about the amazing promises God offers to those who believe in Him.

Because God is on your side, you are not alone in your battle. He has given you the power of His Spirit to help you overcome temptations and weaknesses. Pray and draw on His strength when you feel overwhelmed and vulnerable. He wants you to enjoy food and will help give you a new, healthy perspective on eating. In today's video, I share about the ABC's. They are very important:

Believe He can help and

Check your motives.

God’s grace is powerful, and His mercies are new every morning, which is a beautiful thing. The battle to overcome overeating (gluttony) is a continuous effort and a daily surrendering of the heart. Each food choice you make is a decision that is either healthy and aligns with God’s best for you or is unhealthy and aligns with the enemy’s lies.

Approach this journey by taking one day, one meal, and one bite at a time. The hard work will pay off as you start to feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

God has begun a good work in you and He will complete it!
