Homecoming Fasting & Prayer DevotionalSample

Refreshing Repentance
Daily Thought:
In Acts 3, Peter is preaching directly to a group of people who are gaining insight into faith in Christ. As such, Peter teaches the importance of repentance, specifically how taking this step leads to refreshing and forgiveness. In this way, repentance provides relief and renewal as one seeks to commit oneself to the character of God and the marks of the kingdom.
Scripture Excerpt:
Acts 3:19, ESV
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you.
Prayer Point:
In prayer, consider this question: What areas in your life you have allowed outside voices to define how you view the world? Now, repent to the Lord through confession and a commitment to align your heart with God’s.
