The Little Sins

DAY 3 OF 7

You Are Still Welcome!

Have you ever said things you didn't mean to say? And these words have hurt people? Or you had thoughts that were not from God, but you continued to allow them to play in your mind until they became an act that left great damage?

First of all, let me reassure you. This actually happens to everyone! It happens to me again and again as soon as I distance myself only a small step from God, give emotions the power, and no longer run to God. At that moment I think: "Yes, now you can forget it, you failed again..."

But God wants you to always come to Him! Always, always, always! As His child, you are always welcome in His presence! The pain or shame you feel now has only one purpose: to bring you back to Him so you will not continue to dwell in that pain:

"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." (2 Corinthians 7:10 NIV)

So where will you go with your pain? To where you will receive forgiveness, or to where, sadly, you will try hopelessly to live with your pain? Don't learn to live with your pain, because God wants to take it from you!

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NIV)

Now is exactly the right time to come to Him and stop running away. May I help you by praying with you? Let this be your prayer today:

"Jesus, I am sorry that I hurt you so much by my words and actions. I am disappointed in myself! But now I come to You and ask You to forgive me. Show me Your love and please give me new joy. Thank You that I am always welcome with You! I love You. Amen."

You are loved!

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

The Little Sins

Do you ever wonder whether the little sins matter? To God, they do. But none of us are without guilt - we all fall into temptation, big and small. God, as our Father, wants to help us learn how to avoid these pitfalls and find freedom in Him.
