Having prioritized the Father and His Word in your daily routine and attuned yourself to the voice of His Spirit, you've taken a significant step in putting God first. Now, let's delve into other aspects of your life, including possessions, finances, and areas where fear and worry may attempt to take root. God desires to bring order to these areas, assuring you of abundance and provision beyond your needs.
When it comes to possessions and finances, it's crucial to remember that God is the ultimate source of all blessings and provisions. Deuteronomy 8:18 emphasizes that He grants the power for success and wealth. Acknowledge that all you have is a result of His love for you. By giving back to Him a portion of your income, following the principle of tithing (10%), you honor Him and express faith in His ongoing provision for your future.
The tithe is to come from your first fruits, not your leftovers. Matthew 6:33 encourages seeking God and His kingdom first, with the assurance that everything you need will be added to you. Luke 6:38 (NLT) reinforces the principle of giving, promising a return in abundance, pressed down, shaken together, running over, and poured into your lap. God desires to give you more.
If concerns about scarcity or loss linger, recall the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, assuring you of a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline instead of fear. In Malachi 3:10-11, God challenges you to test Him with your tithe, promising blessings overflowing and protection for what you possess. Trust in Him, having faith that His abundant provision will surpass your worries.
Reflection: Reflect on the Father's desire for you to receive abundantly. Revisit His promises, knowing that they are always "Yes! and Amen (so be it)" (2 Corinthians 1:20) and that "He is not human, so He never lies" (Numbers 23:19). In trusting Him with your possessions and finances, embrace the assurance of His unwavering provision and protection.
