DAY 15 OF 24

Day 15 by Jehosaphat Rodriguez, Administrative Assistant to Michael Miller

Today’s Reading: Philippians & Colossians

“Even though you were once distant from him, living in the shadows of your evil thoughts and actions, he reconnected you back to himself. He released his supernatural peace to you through the sacrifice of his own body as the sin-payment on your behalf so that you would dwell in his presence. And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored…” (Colossians 1:21-22 TPT)

Now, there exists nothing between you and the Father! Pause and reflect. Are you aware of what you've just read? Take a moment, close your eyes, and declare this truth over your mind and heart. There is NOTHING between you and the Father. There was a time when we were distant, far off, lost in our own thoughts. I can personally relate to this; there was a time before Christ when I was dwelling in the shadows of my own evil thoughts. According to the NASB translation, it says that we were hostile in the mind, once enemies of God. However, due to His sacrifice, humanity is now reconciled to Him once and for all.

Now, possessing the mind of Christ and being reconnected back to Him, we have hope and life in Him. We are no longer enslaved by broken thought patterns. Through His sacrifice, He has bestowed upon us His supernatural peace—a peace that surpasses our understanding, sustaining us in times of trouble. We have transitioned from darkness to being children of the light. Our minds have now come under submission to the Holy Spirit - He who reveals the deep things of God.

As Christians, we often attempt to rectify things to attain "right standing" with God, yet Jesus has already accomplished that for us. The cross was sufficient and continually saves us to the utmost. When the Father sees you, He sees the blood of His Son that was shed for you. You are not striving to be clean; you ARE clean. You are not striving to be holy; you are holy. You are not striving to be free; you are free!

At times, our minds may attempt to revert to former ways, where we act as our own judges, even though the cross has already declared us good once and for all. We are no longer hostile in the mind; we are now open to heaven through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. You are restored, you are renewed, you are FREE, always in perfect proximity to the Father.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I'm grateful for the peace of being close to You. Thank You for sending Jesus to bring us together forever. My mind is at peace knowing I have unlimited access to Your love. I'm glad there's nothing between us, and I can walk freely, knowing You've made me clean. Help me understand Your Holy Spirit and keep things simple so that I may not complicate the truth. I am no longer a slave to my old thought patterns, but now I am a child of the light. I have the mind of Christ. I have been reconciled to the Father in perfect proximity forevermore. Thank You for the body that was broken and the blood that was shed. Jesus, I am Yours forever. Amen.
