When Everything Seems DifficultSample

Avoid Rashness
When everything seems complicated, it can be hard to know what decisions to make and to understand God's expectations of us. Sometimes, in our haste, we act impulsively, all the while feeling lost. Through this plan, I want to present you with principles linked to God's Word to guide you through these delicate moments.
As Proverbs 19:2 points out, there is a real danger in making decisions in haste. When we are shaken by sadness, grief, or anger, it is not wise to make decisions during these times. There are situations where a decision needs to be made urgently, but as a general rule we can take time to reflect. Indeed, at such times, our choices may be colored by carnal and psychic reactions rather than spiritual ones. This caution also applies in moments of great joy. Taking the time to let emotions, positive or negative, subside before deciding, when we have emotional control, remains essential.
