Hope Revealed

DAY 4 OF 4

Where is the world going? I just scrolled down the BBC app on my phone and I clicked on some news. I read one single paragraph and resolved to stop reading. Sadly, it’s become a habit. I skim over the headlines, get a sense of the world, and I check out… before it gets too dark. Sometimes I pray. I honestly do not know how I would cope without knowing Jesus.

This is our final stop. After looking at Jesus’ life, his death, his resurrection, who do you say he is?

Did you see his power? Was there ever anyone in history known for calming down a tsunami? Anyone who brought dead people back to life? Anyone who’s done all that in a single day of his life… just by speaking?

Did you see his death? Do you know of anyone who used his dying breath to promise eternal life to a criminal? Anyone whose death comes with a promise of peace with God?

Did you see his resurrection? Who else offers true meaning and purpose? Who else offers the world so many witnesses of his own eternal life? The people who met the risen Jesus were ready to die for him, and many did. Because their eyes were opened. They had met their Mighty God, Prince of Peace, their Everlasting Father. They could not go silent. And neither can we. Who do you say Jesus is?

Will you pray that your eyes would be opened for you to see him for real? Will you let Jesus run your life and become your own Wonderful Counsellor? If you do, your life will become his own, eternal life. And no bad news will ever overcome your new, God-given hope.

About this Plan

Hope Revealed

When we read the Bible, we read about real, historical people who claim to have met God, in person. We too can have an encounter with God by just looking at Jesus in the Bible. A single day in his life, death, and resurrection are more than enough to get us to hope again. This is a resource from Christianity Explored Ministries.
