It's PersonalSample
If you’ve been around church for a while you’ve probably heard the phrase “body of Christ.” But if this phrase is unfamiliar to you, it may sound weird. The writers in the New Testament use this metaphor to describe the Church—not the building, but the people who are a part of it. The Church is described as a body to illustrate that God works through all people and their various giftings. In other words, each person has a specific role to play, everyone matters, and everyone is needed. We’re different but equally necessary. And just like a body wouldn’t work if one foot wanted to do its own thing separate from the rest of the body, the church also counts on shared purpose in accomplishing God’s mission in the world.
As you imagine this body of Jesus-followers where and how do you see yourself working to be a part of it? How are you growing and building others up? How are you supporting those around you to do what God has called them to do? Spend some time praying today and ask God to help you understand your role in the Church body, then, ask God to help you fulfill it.

About this Plan
Everyone is different, yet we all share a common quality. Deep down, we were created to be deeply known by others and by God. We were made to experience relationships with others and a relationship with God that’s personal. Because when it’s personal, it changes things. Things matter more. People matter more. Over the next few weeks, we will discover a personal God and what that means for us.
