21 Days: Revive Us AgainSample
DAY 5: NOT OF THE WORLD
Reflection:
While you live in the world, it's easy for the world to live in you. Worldliness can slowly drain our spirits, leaving us parched and spiritually desolate. But there is a transformative choice available to us - to turn away from worldliness and return to the waiting embrace of the Lord. In His presence, we can find revival.
John 3:1-21 tells the story of Nicodemus, a prominent Jewish religious leader. Despite societal norms and the opinions of his peers, he steadfastly acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God. Nicodemus did not remain in his natural and rational thinking. Instead, he eagerly sought the presence of the Saviour, and he experienced a remarkable rebirth - a spiritual awakening that granted him entry into the kingdom of God.
The clamor of daily existence can drown out the still, small voice of God. News, social media, anxieties about the future, and the relentless pressure to meet societal expectations, while not inherently negative, can dilute our values as we become entangled in the world's tumultuous affairs.
Today, the Lord is beckoning us to an alternative path. He encourages us not to conform to the pattern of the world but to be transformed through the renewal of our minds. (Romans 12:2) This transformation is a return to the source of life-giving power, an opportunity to rediscover and rest in His grace.
Response:
Are there areas in your life that have overshadowed God’s word and promise? Commit these areas to God and identify steps that you can take to turn away from worldly influences and prioritize His word in your life.
Ask God for a new way of seeing things and help to focus on Him. Ask for His guidance amid the worldly pressures you face and the grace to live a life set apart for Him!

About this Plan
Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
