Twenty Five Days of Christmas DevotionsSample

Jesus, the promised Messiah would come to be known by different names that would highlight His many different attributes. He would be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). But one name that would become most enduring to His followers would be “Immanuel” which means “God with us”.
No longer would there be a barrier of sin that separates man from God. No longer would God be impersonal and distant. No longer do you have to feel forsaken and abandoned. No longer do you have to wrestle with loneliness and emptiness. No longer do you have to face your problems alone. No longer do you have to be paralysed with fear at adversity, for if God is with us, it does not matter who is against us. No longer do you have to crave forbidden pleasures, for once you have experienced His presence, every evil desire quickly fades away.

About this Plan

There is no better season than Christmas to dwell on the reason for the season. Over the next 25 days, we will look back at some key prophecies relating to the promised Messiah. We will also observe the lives and circumstances that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Above all, we will see how Jesus makes a difference in our lives both now and forever.
